Gerry Adams comes out of his arrest looking even more statesmanlike

Freed Gerry Adams: the IRA has gone, the past is past

Gerry Adams is a statesman.

On the other hand, we have been listening to her son https://twitter.com/BBCr4today/status/461766008852992000 moaning and sighing away on the Today Programme for days and days now. Will someone just pay that him off and send him on his way?

Listen to that recording and the sigh in every word he utters. Does he sound like the worst kind of emasculated effeminate lower class trash who will say anything for a bit of sympathy and money?

Does Jean McConville not sound like the worst kind of woman?  I do hope that the good people of Northern Ireland are not going to have the peace disturbed by a woman like her.  If she were your mother, would you rather not be born? Doubtless the feminists are going to make a big fat fuss over someone like her just because she is a woman.

‘They put a gun to my father’s head and they ripped his shirt off,’ she says. ‘He had a tattoo of our Lord on the cross. They said: “You Fenian bastard, you have an hour to get out.”’ By the time the children got home, their father had left for his mother’s house in Catholic West Belfast.

Other local Catholic families were put out. One woman who lived nearby remembers a crowd of more than a hundred people descending on her house. ‘We left that night and never went back,’ she says. Jean and the children stayed for several days, hoping things might calm down and that Arthur would be able to return. Helen claims that ‘they attacked the house every night,’ and that ‘the police came and said to my mother: “Now that you are rid of him, why don’t you stay and bring your children up as Protestants?” She said no, she was going with her husband.’

There are some in the area who dispute this version of events. They say that Arthur McConville was made to leave because he beat his wife and his mother-in-law. ‘He was like an awful lot of other men in Belfast at that time,’ one told me. ‘He was a drinker and he had a temper and he took it out on Jean and on her mother.’ According to this account, Jean was told she and the children could stay so long as her husband did not return. Helen rejects this: ‘My father beat no one and I never saw him drunk. They put us out because we were Catholics.’

The relationship between Jean and her mother-in-law deteriorated rapidly. ‘She didn’t have much time for her son either,’

In 1999, the House of Commons set up a Commission for the Location of Victims’ Remains which offered immunity from prosecution to anyone providing information that could lead to the discovery of the bodies of 16 people who had disappeared during the Troubles.

The IRA told the commission that McConville had been ‘arrested’ in 1972 and had ‘admitted to being an army spy’. She had ignored its warning to stop, so the IRA had killed her and buried her body at Templetown beach in County Louth in the Republic of Ireland. The McConvilles arrived at this remote and beautiful place to find hordes of journalists as well as the police and search teams. Over fifty days, hundreds of thousands of tons of sand were excavated. The McConvilles watched and waited, sometimes, embarrassingly, quarrelling in front of the cameras.

Sounds like she married a bad boy because she was a stupid woman who couldn't resist a bad boy, fancied soldiers and liked bit of rough.

I am reminded of Professor Higgins who told her what he thought of Eliza Dolittle if she married the kind of man so women find so exciting, who have a "thick pair of lips to kiss you with, and a thick pair of boots to kick you with" cos you like the way he makes your pussy tingle with his bad boy ways ...

Marry in haste, repent at leisure.

You made your bed, now you have to lie in it.

It is obvious that her family just want a bit of compo, so why not throw some money at them and be done with it? Ask them how much their mother was worth to them individually, what would make them shut up once and for all, and give it to them.

I see that this is now in hand.

'Victims of IRA deserve payouts': Cameron launches bid for compensation - Telegraph

What I want to know is if Cameron knew when Adams was about to be arrested.

If I were Cameron, I would have told the cop about to do it to not to do it, or else.

I am surprised that an Ulsterman would even want to remain part of Britain when they don't have to be when there is nothing a British politician does or says that does not make one deeply ashamed and disgusted by their incompetence and corruption and of the helpless impotence of British men who are too afraid to say or do anything about this.
